Sources like the Weather Channel, Accuweather, and Weathernation all have dedicated severe weather experts because it is important to give life saving information to the public and this course will give you some of the same analyzing tools to help you make the right forecast calls with severe weather.

The second part of this course will examine the tools, via using live radar, that weather students use to assess severe weather like hurricanes and tornadoes w in the atmosphere. We will look at the definitions of severe weather and the differences between watches, warnings, and advisories in your local area. This weather course is designed to help you be on your way to compiling a forecast that looks at the severe weather ingredients from a macro perspective . You will also be able to analyze the synoptic patterns found on a contour weather map.

Finally, we will look at the changes in reporting severe weather news to the general public through the various media outlets. This will include a preview of severe weather news from around the country that is actually happening in real time. You do not want to skip this course as it could prepare you to be a certified Sky warn spotter or aid you in studying for your meteorological certificate.
